National Operational Leadership

The National Operational Leadership serves as the executive leadership body responsible for implementing the strategic direction of the Association of Certified Chaplains in South Africa (ACCSA). Working under the oversight of the Board of Directors, this team provides operational leadership, coordinates provincial chaplaincy activities, and ensures that the Association maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and service. The National Operational Leadership also oversees the development of training and certification frameworks while addressing operational, disciplinary, and ethical matters to strengthen chaplaincy ministry across South Africa..

Provincial Executive Leadership

The Provincial Executive Leadership provides strategic and operational leadership within each of South Africa's nine provinces. Led by a Provincial Executive Chaplain, these leaders are responsible for implementing the Association's national policies, overseeing provincial chaplaincy structures, coordinating the deployment of chaplains, and maintaining professional and ethical standards. They also serve as the official representatives of the Association of Certified Chaplains in South Africa (ACCSA) within their respective provinces, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between provincial structures and the National Executive Council.

Provincial Leaders: promote the Association of Certified Chaplains in South Africa. They recruit, retain and support the ACCSA membership in their Provinces and advocate for the chaplaincy profession. Upon request, they help find a mentor for a certification candidate in the Province. They also support local chaplains in fulfilling their maintenance of certification requirements, including annual continuing education reporting and five-year peer review. Additionally, they assist Provincial continuing education chairs and local members in coordinating local meetings, educational opportunities and/or social events.

Regional Leaders: are responsible for coordinating local meetings, educational opportunities and/or social events with the support of the Provincial representative and local membership. They also disseminate news of local and national education and events to the local membership.
